Yes, Darley Abbey Colts 4 Loughborough Emmanuel 1
The worst performance of the season saw Emmanuel fold tamely to bottom of the league Darley Abbey Colts, who deserved the points as they showed real desire, determination and far more quality than Emmanuel on the day.
Despite going a goal up Emmanuel collapsed and failed to show any real signs of scoring again with the passing, movement, communication and workrate almost non-existant. Darley took advantage of the time and space they were given and the individual mistakes to comfortably come back and score four goals. In truth it could have been more. Despite the efforts of Timson and Trebski and a positive cameo from Carter towards the end, who has earnt himself a starting place next week, Emmanuel failed to show any of the ability that had seen them compete strongly with title hopefuls Heanor in the previous two matches.
Let's keep the conclusion simple. This was nowhere near good enough. If anybody was expecting an easy match because it was Darley Abbey Colts then please do not turn up to training on Wednesday. If you thought that a match like this required less effort than the previous two, then again, please don't come on Wednesday. Sure, I expected to win, but I never expect an easy match, and I don't care if we only win 1-0 against the Under 9's Girl Scouts team, but we win, we get the points. You can't play beautiful football every week but you can sure win ugly if you need to. We did neither.
I am angry after losing this match and I hope you all hurt too because you must use that feeling to motivate yourselves next week. You can tell a lot about a team and it's players by the way they react to adversity. I will be watching closely in training and in next weeks match to see who responds to this defeat. You might also want to say sorry to Keezy who had his first Emmanuel goal overshadowed by the team performance.

When will the highlights get put up?
When I get 3 spare hours, either that or we'll use the footage and have theory session because it was so incredibly bad that we need to address some issues.
You guys didnt plat bad you got out played ;)
You guys were by far the better team on the day and played very well. We will look forward to the 2nd and 3rd games against you over the coming weeks.

you cant really be smug cos we had you 16-4 in pre season but you did actually play better out of both teams so well done
