Big shock in the transfer market today as the former Liverpool, Real Madrid and Barcodes player joined Champions Manchester Utd in a 2 year deal. Owen has had miserable few seasons on Tyneside with permenant failure club Newcastle United but a move to the Champions could help him ressurect his flagging career. If Owen can stay fit then he'll certainly benefit from playing alongside Rooney, Berbatov and the other United stars. The transfer could yet prove a masterstroke by United manger Sir Alex Ferguson as he seeks a stop gap which will add experience but also allow talented youngsters Macheda and Wellbeck to develop.
