UNDER 15 MATCH REPORT: Heanor 6 - 1 LEFC

Animated Gifs

It's looks like a hammering but this match could've been very different had Emmanuel converted the three excellent chances they created in the first 15 minutes. Keezy, Rhys and Jack, all good strikers of the ball, all good finishers will curse their wastefulness infront of the Heanor goal, but in the first half missed chances was a big feature of the match and at half time it could easily have been 7-3 to Heanor, rather than 1-0. With Patryk, John and Dan absent, Noddy and Captain Isaac injured it was up to others to step in and show their worth to Emmanuel. Adam started well and made some good tackles in the centre of midfield before his engine ran out of gas. Bishal put in an energetic performance on the right and made some good interceptions when coming inside, as well as helping to create some of Emmanuels better passing moves. It was always going to be hard on a very sticky pitch and the first half display was very commendable.

The second half however saw the game slip from Emmanuel as they found it harder to create chances and some flimsy tackles allowed Heanor far too many chances to shoot on goal. Some players were guilty of pulling out of challenges and looking very girly indeed as Heanor players skipping round outstetched balerina toes with far too much ease. There was far too much ball watching once again and even the efforts of The Mighty Giersh, Vishal and Rhys, who tried to keep the communication going fell on deaf ears and several shouts were ignored. It's frustrating when no-one talks but even more so when no-one listens as with the final goal. If the keeper shouts "keepers" he's coming for it, so don't kick it out of his hands into the net. Can't remember who it was, but you're a numpty.

The highlight of the second half was however Jack Balls fantastic solo effort as he rounded two Heanor players and slotted the ball past the keeper. The celebration of jumping in the big muddy puddle should make a great youtube moment.

Overall there was some positives to take from the game. Some players really showed their worth and that next season they will be able to develop and with the team become much stronger. Rob Giersh can command the back line superbly, please listen to him on the pitch. Communication in defence is vital when passing over the players we are marking and tracking runs. Keezy, Jack and Jubed also put in good shifts and Rhys tried so hard to do everything that he had little energy to get forward at times.

No wednesday game this week, so we have 2 training sessions monday and wednesday 6-7pm at Fairfields. Let's get ready for Donnington. You never know.

Sport hurts, so go hard, or go home!

Goal: Ballie
Man of the Match: Rhys

I second the support for Big Rob in defence, listen to him and agree on the positions, handover and talk. It's the only way to work. Keep practicing or it'll never get any better...
