UNDER 10 MATCH REPORT: LEFC 10 - 0 Allestree Juniors

Loughborough Emmanuel under 10’s travelled to Derby for the next round of the cup after back to back defeats, the coaches talked about Bouncebackability! And boy how they bounced back with a ten nil thumping of Allestree Juniors.

Emmanuel were on the attack from the off, and some neat touches from Murray Leishman, Rob Cusick and Mohammed Eljaf Byron Pratt stormed into the box for the opener. With Cameron Hales handling well in goal and David Aryeetey and Rueben Hollington looking unbeatable in defence it wasn’t long before the lead was doubled with Leishman scoring a great goal. More good work from Leishman and Aryeetey saw Pratt grab his second.

Emmanuel were relentless and credit has to be given to Allestree who did not let their heads drop and forced Hales into a couple of fine saves. It wasn’t long though before Leishman went on a mazy run and scored a screamer. Both Leishman and Pratt completed their hat tricks before the half was out. Emmanuel went into the second half 6-0 to the good.

Changes were made to give everyone a run out and it wasn’t long before Will McLeod had fed Isaac Frost who out sprinted the defence for a trade mark goal. Nathan Walsh went close with a good effort bringing a good save from the Allestree keeper. From the resulting corner Sam Cosgrove pounced on the loose ball and smashed it into the net. Hales then unselfishly fed Frost who happily accepted the invitation to score his second.

Allestree kept going and Leishman who was now in goal had to be on his toes to keep out a couple of fine efforts. Walsh, McLeod and Hollington then combined and Cosgrove nipped in for his second. In the dying minutes Hales was clattered by the keeper for a sure fire penalty but with the score at 10-0 the referee waved away the appeals. The final whistle blew and Emmanuel had definitely bounced back!

Man of the Match Rueben Hollington
