UNDER 10 MATCH REPORT: LEFC 8 - 1 Bramcote Royals

Loughborough Emmanuel under 10’s travelled with a threadbare squad due to lots of players representing their schools. For the first fifteen minutes it looked as though those that had travelled were still in bed! Sam Cosgrove working overtime in goal to keep Bramcote at bay.

Emmanuel were woken from their slumber and some good work from Reuben Hollington, Mathew Griffiths and Hagan Greaves set up Isaac Frost for the opening goal. It wasn’t long before he was on the score sheet again, good pressure from Byron Pratt and Murray Leishman with a good through ball saw Frost speed away for his second. Not to be out done Mohammed Eljaf soon scored two himself to give Emmanuel a flattering 4-0 half time advantage.

The second half started with Frost again out sprinting the defence to grab his hat-trick. It was at this time that the midfield decided that they did not need to get back and Bramcote pulled one back to remind Emmanuel they were in a game. Next it was Cameron Hales who fired in from a tight angle after a good through ball from Ejaf.

Emmanuel were growing in confidence and with Griffiths and Pratt solid at the back it wasn’t long before another goal, this time Frost and Hales combined to set up Leishman for a trademark finish. It was all Emmanuel now and Hales saw an audacious lob bounce back off of the bar against the keepers head and out for a corner. Leishman whipped the ball in and that man Frost was on the spot again to net his fourth and give Emmanuel a convincing 8-1 victory.

Man of the Match Isaac Frost
