The coaches made a few changes to the starting team from last week ensuring everyone gets some game time, with debutant Nathan Walsh looking good in midfield, and young Mathew Griffiths and Rueben Hollington looking solid at the back, Emmanuel started to assert themselves and Sam Cosgrove rounded off a smart move to score the equaliser. Cameron Hales starting in goal had to be on his toes to keep out Staffs on a number of occasions, a long ball from him found Murray Leishman in space and he deservedly put Emmanuel 1-2 to the good
The second half brought a couple of changes and it wasn’t long before Mohammed Eljaf was on the score sheet rounding off a superb move involving Hales, Will McLeod, David Aryeetey and Rob Cusick. A period of relentless pressure finished with a second goal for Eljaf and by this time the game was as good as over.
George McCague started the next move playing a deft ball to Hagan Greaves who fed Aryeetey who smashed the ball into the box one of the Staffs defenders did get a leg to it but this only looped the ball over the keepers head sealing an emphatic victory for the ever improving Emmanuel.
Man of the Match Mohammed Eljaf
