UNDER 11's MATCH REPORT: ALLESTRE JUNIORS 17 - 0 LEFC ?

No confirmation yet as to this result but as soon as we discover which pub Andy Duxbury is in we'll buy him one more drink and post a match report.

Can someone check the walk-in centre too in case he started drinking straight after the match?

We found Andy and he's ok, but the nurses said we could only speak to him for 5 mins before his medication. Luckily he had a match report written out for us...

Yes, it's true, there is a football team in Derby that knows how to win a football match! This was a game of 2 halves - we lost the first one 11-0 and the second one 7-0 (I think).
We had a storming start and with 1 minute and 30 seconds on the clock we were all square. The next 58 minutes and 30 seconds were something of a blur. If I'd taken a sofa with me I would have spent most of the match hiding behind it.
The pitch was the worst I've ever seen. If the grass had been any longer our shorter player would have needed periscopes. We're still searching for one of our goalkeepers. The crator in the goal mouth also suggested that all may not be well with the Big Bang experiment.
On Thursday at training we shall be reacquainting ourselves with our old friend, the football, and examining the deeper meaning of the phrase 'close down'.
However, there were some positives. Matthew Duxbury won the Special Skills award, Bradley Pascall won man of the match and William Wilson won substitute of the match. Special mention should also be made of Robbie Maden (tireless running), Thomas Barber (an outstanding display at left fullback in the second half) and both of our goalkeepers, Thomas Stanton and Nass.
Manager's state of mind: Confused.
Team Morale: Good

I was delighted to see that another team in our league got stuffed 16-0. There's hope for us yet. Despite the 17-0 hammering we suffered there actually were some things to build on and a lot that I know we can improve on.
