Emmanuel made it two wins out of three as they came back from Staffordshire having won all three points against a good Barton Rovers outfit. Barton began really well and won a deserved penalty but, fortunately for Emmanuel, shot wide. Emmanuel then came back strongly playing some lovely passing football and, after a few near-misses, finally took the lead as Aning knocked in from slow range after a shot from the excellent Sharp. With minutes to go before half-time Sharp himself got on to the score sheet, heading neatly in after a flurry of headers followed a trademark throw from Schad. With a two-goal advantage Emmanuel dominated the second half and with Large tireless in midfield, Woodward and Lewis excellent on the wings, Emmanuel looked likely to increase their lead. And this they finally did as Walker latched on to a fine pull-bask for the tricky Taylor. Barton scored a consolation goal but with the defence in resolute form Emmanuel went on to clinch an excellent win.
