Under 14's Star Goalkeeper Rob "Safe Hands" Barrow has been ruled out of action for at least 1 month with a broken hand. Barrow is reported to have sustained the injury whilst rescuing 18 people from a burning building, although sources close to Barrow have suggested that actually he was just pratting about at school.
Barrow, who signed for Emmanuel last year, has been a regular in the first team and is one of the most enthusiastic and committed players at the club. This injury setback has come as quite a blow for Barrow who was really excited about the start of the new season. When asked how he felt Barrow said, "I'm well sad me".
Head Coach Luke Griffin informed Manager Ed Grainger earlier tonight about the Barrow injury and the news is said to have caused serious drops in optimism on the Edometer.

Oh no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We gone miss you Rob... Be back very quick we need you in the new season....
You'd best be coming along to yell at the defence Rob!!
Don't worry, I will be back soon and also cheering you on Thursday!
Dont worry about me lads worry about the match's ahead. I'm doing everything that I can to rest it. I will still try to get to the training sessions but only watching. I hope I recover quickly and get back in my goalie gloves. See you Thursday guys.

Anything to get out the washing up eh??!!!!
May i defend my son as there was actually 21 people in that burning building & he slipped off the ladders being so heroic. Women n children went first although he left a science teacher behind due to her size!
Erm, ok he was pratting about at skool (playing footy!)
Hopefully it wont be too long a break for Robert, we will see what the quacks say next week & will let you all know.
We will be there thursday night to support the lads.
